Justin Doane - Founder & CEO
During his six-year tenure as Lead Cell Engineer at Sila Nanotechnologies, Justin faced the frustrating challenge of the lack of high-quality lab-scale cell prototyping equipment. Later, he joined Tesla where he led the development of the first GWh-scale machines for 4680 cell manufacturing, which further refined his expertise in machine design. Justin founded Variant Energy with the goal of bringing the sophistication of gigafactory-scale cell manufacturing to the R&D benchtop.
